La farfalla - a tango nuevo
And so another passion entered my life - tango. I had never been exposed to this music for some reason and fell in love with it. I do enjoy the older forms of tango but I have to admit I am a real fan of the new style of modern tango. I became so obsessed with this music that I wrote the song La Farfalla (the butterfly) and recorded all the instruments with a synthesizer. Now, I've got the tango song-writing bug...
Scream 4 Halloween - a children's musical
What started out as a fun experiment improvising background music for a long Halloween poem written by my friend Fiona Hornstein ended up being a full-fledged musical with 13 songs with the story told in poetic verse.
The premier and ten sold-out performances were at St. James Cavalier Cultural Center in Malta. It was the first of its kind and the audiences came in costume to be active participants in the show.
The piece was written not only for entertainment but also for educating the children on different styles of songs. Each of the thirteen songs was written in a different rhythm (tango, reggae, waltz, gospel, etc.) Workshops were conducted in local schools so the children would be able to sing along when they came to the performances. It was a "screaming" success!

As Nature Heals the Heart - a book of poetry
I was sailing through the Ionian Islands one summer and for whatever reason, began to write poetry. No one was more surprised than I when these words started to appear on the page.
I believe the beautiful environment in which I found myself was my inspiration. I was encouraged by a dear friend, Maura Zagrans, a successful writer herself http://www.maurazagrans.com/, to compile my poems in a book. I summoned all my friends around the globe to submit pictures for the illustrations and the combined result has been a rewarding endeavor.
Writing my first book in Ebook format was a challenge but in the end was the most feasible way to get it out on the market.
